Asexual reproduction involves the participation of a single parent. This mode of reproduction does not involve formation of gametes.

Types of asexual reproduction in plants:
1)Vegetative propagation: New plants are produced from roots, stems, leaves and buds.
2)Budding: The small bulb-like projection comes out and gradually grows then gets detached from the parent cell to make a new individual.
3) Fragmentation: Plant such as algae breaks into two or more parts, these part develops into new plant.
4)Spore formation: Spore which are asexual reproductive body germinates and grow into new individual
