Cancer is a disease that causes uncontrolled proliferation of cells usually due to damage caused to DNA. The three main types of cancer are:

1. Carcinoma: Cancer affects the epithelial cells, usually the skin and the lining of the internal organs.
2. Sarcoma: Cancer affects the connective or the supportive tissues of the body such as the muscles, bones, fat etc.
3. Lymphoma: Cancer affects the cells of the lymphatic system i.e the lymphocytes.

The two danger signals of cancer are:

1. A sore that does not heal.
2. Lump on the body that does not go away and/or grows.
