Cell representation is a method or way to represent cells. Half cells are separated by two bars or slashes : (//) which symbolises a salt bridge. The anode is placed in the left and the cathode is placed at the right. State- solid, liquid, or aqueous phases within each half-cell are written separated by a single bar (/).

Cell representation of Daniel cell is given below :

Cell representation- Zn/Zn2+ (c1)// Cu2+(c2)/Cu
