What is componendo dividends?

If a/b = c/d and a,b,c and d are all numbers and b and d are non zero then

(a+b)/b = (c+d)/d = componendo

and (a-b)/b = (c-d)/d = dividendodividends

So combining these two,

(a+b)/(a-b) = (c+d)/(c-d)

So the above result is called as componendo and dividendo
