Solution

There are some problems which involve more than 2 different variations (directly or indirectly) such problems are compound variation.
Example: If 120 children consume 300 LT of milk in 30 days, in how many days 30 students children consume 540 litre of milk.

This problem based on compound variation.
20 students consume 300 litre of milk in 30 days.

1 student consume 300 litre of milk in 30 *20 days

30 students consume 300 litre of milk in 30*20/30 days

30 students consume 1 litre of milk in 30*20 /30*300 days

30 students consume 540 litre of milk in 30*20*540/30*300 days = 36
