Dear Student,
The Constitution of a country is the basic law of that country. It specifies how that country is to governed, how a government is chosen and how a government is to be removed. It also specifies the rights and liberties possessed by citizens of that country.
The Indian constitution was adopted on January 26, 1950. It proclaimed India as a sovereign democratic republic. The constitution provided a parliamentary form of government to India. It provided fundamental rights of freedom, equality and right to constitutional remedy. It also promised to every Indian citizen justice, liberty and equality.
Regards.
