  4. When iron comes in contact with air containing Oxygen and water then it corrodes the upper layer of Iron.
  5. This forms a reddish-brown color flaky substance called rust and the phenomenon is called rusting of Iron.
  6. The chemical reaction related to rusting of Iron is represented as follows:
    4Fes+3O2g+2xH2Ol2Fe2O3.xH2Os
  7. The term “rusting” generally refers to the corrosion of iron objects.
