Cottage industry - It is a small-scale industry involving large number of people working from their home for the production of small household items. (e.g. sewing, lace-making, wall-hanging etc.

Village industries are ​set up by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in 1957 and they are engaged in the manufacturing of products such as handloom, spices, pottery wares and candles.
