What is cromatin?

Open in App
Solution

The chromatin is a complex combination of DNA and protein that makes up the chromosome in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. It is usually found dispersed in the interphase nucleus and condensed into chromosome in mitosis. It helps into package DNA into a smaller volume to fit in the cell, to strengthen the DNA to allow mitosis and meiosis and prevent DNA damage, and to control gene expression and DNA replication.
