Open in App
Solution

Cryopreservation is a technique used to preserve intact living cells, tissues, organelles, organs etc., by freezing them at a temperature of -196° C in liquid nitrogen. At such a low temperature, any chemical or enzymatic activity that can damage the biological material is stopped so the material is preserved for a long period of time.
