Branches and stems are both members of the same family.
Elongation of the internodes, along with enlargement and extension of the leaves, causes the axillary buds to develop into branches.
Branching refers to the way the branches are arranged.
Cymose Branching:
The primary axis in cymose branching terminates in a flower or a tendril, and before it does, it produces one or more lateral branches.
Because the expansion of the axis is limited in this sort of branching, it is also known as definite branching.
There are different types of cymose branching namely - Helicoid chyme, scorpioid chyme, Biparous chyme, Multiparous chyme, cymose head and Scapigerous head.
