1. Demagnetization is a process by which a magnet loses its magnetic properties.
2. Heating- If a permanent magnet is heated, it loses its magnetic properties.
3. Hammering- Repeated hammering of a magnet disturbs the alignments of the magnetic molecules and it loses its magnetic properties.
4. Electrically- A magnet can be demagnetized by placing it inside the coil which is connected to an alternating current source.
