Open in App
Solution

Density:

  • The mass of an object per unit volume is measured as its density.
  • An object's average or absolute density is determined by dividing its whole mass by its total volume.

Units of density:

  • Density measures the tightness of a material.
  • It is denoted by D or ρ.
  • Its formula is; ρ=m/V.
  • Where ρ denotes density, m denotes object mass, and V denotes object volume.
  • Although the SI unit of density isKg/m3, for convenience we use, g/ml it for liquids, g/L gases, and g/cm3 for solids.
