What is diastolic blood pressure?

Solution

The pressure during relaxation or diastole of the left ventricle is called diastolic blood pressure.

Note: Diastole occurs simultaneously in both the ventricle, the pressure felt as pulse is due to that of the left ventricle and hence, only the left ventricle is considered.
