Typically its findings are kept private and are not in a form that can be examined and tested for correctness.

Chemistry is a science that studies the nature of matter and its changes and encourages the sharing and dissemination of information. This is typically able to be reproduced and tested to determine whether the information being disseminated is correct

Alchemy is a pseudo-science, whereas chemistry is a science.
