What is difference between anhydrous chromic oxide and chromic anhydride?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student

Anhydrous chromic oxide is : Cr2O3 or CrO2
But, chromic anhydride would be the anhydride produced by heating of Chromic acid (H2CrO4) i.e, formed by loss of water from chromic acid. So H2CrO4 - H2O = CrO3
