1) Animals can move from place to place but most of the plants do not show whole body movement remains at the same place. Only the branches move in plants. A plant usually grows upward towards light and its roots generally grow downward toward soil
2) Animals move by organised function of brain, nerve and muscles. Plants move by the surrounding forces of atmosphere like air, water or other pressure.
3) Animals metabolize external sources of energy. They have to move for in search of food, shelter and protection. Plants create their own energy through the process of Photosynthesis.
