A contact force is a force applied on a body by another body which is in physical contact with it. Ex: Frictional force, Tension, push or pull of an object by another object, etc.
A non contact force is a force applied on a body without coming physically in contact with it. Ex: Gravitational force, Electrostatic force, magnetic force, etc.
