What is difference between MKS and SI unit?

Dear student,

MKS system of units just signifies the units of length, mass and time ie; metres, kilogram and second

Whereas SI system signifies seven units to measure various quantities. These units are called BASE UNITS

They are -

Length - metre
Mass - kilogram
Time - second
Luminous intensity - candela
Amount of a substance - mole
Temperature - Kelvin
Current - Ampere
