Solution

POSITION ISOMERISMMETAMERISM
1The isomers in which the position of functional group different but parent chain is same, those isomers are known as position isomers.1.The isomers in which the functional group is same but differs in Alkyl chain around it, are known as metamers.
2.This process is known as position isomerism.2.This process is known as metamerism.
3.The carbon chain is same.3.The Carbon chain is different.
4.Position isomers belongs to non-homologous series.4.Metamers belongs to homologous series.
5. Example- 1-Chlorobutane and 2-Chlorobutane.5. Example- Diethyl ether and methyl n-propyl ether.
