Solution

Structural organization of a cell:

  1. A cell is a basic structural unit of a living organism.
  2. It consists of several components such as cell walls, cell membranes, protoplasm, and cell organelles.
  3. Each and every component has its significant structure and function to perform within a cell.
  4. The cell wall is a component that is found only in plant cells, fungi, bacteria, and some protists. A cell wall is absent in an animal cell.

Difference between protoplast and protoplasm:

Protoplasm

Protoplast

It is the complex fluid part of the cell.It is the cell without a cell wall.
It is viscous and colorless. It can be differentiated into two parts,i.e. nucleoplasm ( protoplasm of the nucleus) and cytoplasm (extranuclear protoplasm). It is referred to as a naked plant cell.
The cytoplasm contains all cell organelles like- mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, etc.It has all the components of a cell except a cell wall.
