Dear Student, Thallophyta is the subdivision of kingdom plantae which include algae, fungi while bryophytes include mosses, liverworts and hornworts. Few differences between thallophytes and bryophytes are: Habitat: Thallophytes are aquatic while bryophytes are terrestrial usually found in damp and shady areas. Thallophytes usually filament like structures where cells are arranges end to end, while in bryophytes, the cells are arranged in many layers. In thallophytes there exists only one or two chloroplasts per cells and there is absence of stomata while in bryophytes, there exists many chloroplasts and the stomata is present. Reproduction: Thallophytes reproduce both asexually and sexually while bryophytes reproduce sexually and through vegetative reproduction. In thallophytes the female sex organ is a single celled structure and is termed as oogonium while in bryophytes, female sex organ is multi celled and is termed as archegonium. Regards
