What are diploblastic and triploblastic?

Open in App
Solution

Diploblastic animals:

  1. During gastrulation, diploblastic animals create two germ layers, endoderm, and ectoderm.
  2. These creatures have radial symmetry.
  3. There are no body cavities or mesoderm in them.
  4. The endoderm forms real tissue and the stomach in these animals, whereas the ectoderm forms the epidermis, nerve tissue, and nephridia.
  5. These aren't complex and don't have organs.
  6. Example- jellyfish, corals, etc.

Triploblastic animals:

  1. Endoderm, ectoderm, and mesoderm are the three major germ layers produced by triploblastic animals.
  2. These animals are bilaterally symmetric.
  3. These have a coelom and a body cavity.
  4. Endoderm is responsible for the formation of the liver, lungs, colon, urinary bladder, and stomach, among other organs.
  5. Hair, the eye, the lens, the brain, and the spinal cord are all made from ectoderm.
  6. These are more complicated and have genuine organs
  7. Molluscs, worms, and arthropods are some examples of these animals.
