Disease
The term disease broadly refers to any condition that impairs the normal functioning of the body.
Types of diseases:
1.Acquired disease -disease that began at some point during one's lifetime. example-AIDS
2.Acute disease -disease of a short-term nature. example-common cold
3.Chronic disease -disease that is a long-term issue.example-cancer, diabetes
4.Congenital disease- disease that is present at birth. It is often, genetic and can be inherited. example-diabetes,blood pressure
5.Genetic disease-disease that is caused by genetic mutation. example-cystic fibrosis
6.Hereditary or inherited disease -a type of genetic disease caused by mutation that is heredity (and can run in families).example-hemolytic anemia
