Distilled water is the water which is free of impurities such as metals, germs etc. But distilled water should not be mistaken for mineral water and is also not meant for drinking purpose. Distilled water is used in biological and chemical laboratories where high purity of water is required. During distilliation, fresh water is boiled and then the steam is collected and condensed to form pure water.
Uses of distilled water :
1) It is used in lead acid batteries.
2) It is used in cooling systems.
3) Distilled water is used as the cleaning product to wipe the screen of computer and television.
4) It is also used in aquariums to provide fish a long lasting life.
