Solution
Electrocardiography is the method used to detect the transmission of the impulse through the heart. This technique helps to detect any heart-related disorder. ECG (electrocardiogram) refers to a graph that records the electrical activity of the myocardium during a cardiac cycle. An ECG consists of a set of three waves, these are namely the P wave, a QRS complex, and a T wave. P wave signals systole of atria and atrial depolarization. Depolarization of the ventricles followed by excitation of the Purkinje fibres is represented by QRS complex. Repolarization of the ventricles is represented by T wave. It signals ventricular diastole and relaxation of the ventricular myocardium. Any error in the wave pattern can refer to a disorder which can be interpreted by the doctor.
