Solution

  1. Titration: It is the technique which generally used in analytical chemistry.
  2. In this technique, we can determine the concentration of an unknown solution with the help of a known concentration.
  3. The unknown concentration is called analyte while the known concentration is called titrant.
  4. The endpoint of the titration is the point at which the colour of the solution changes completely due to the formation of product due to the addition of indicator.
  5. It is to be noted that weak acids only show one endpoint in the titration.
  6. Example: In acid base titration, due to addition of Phenolphthalein, the solution changes its colour.
