1. Energy is the ability to do work. According to conservation of energy, energy can never be created nor destroyed.
2. For example, a body kept at a height from the ground has potential energy. As this is dropped, the potential energy starts getting converted into kinetic energy.
3. At the moment the body hits the ground, the entire energy is converted to kinetic energy.
