Entropy is a measure of extent of molecular disorder or randomness. When matter becomes disordered, entropy increases. The entropy change of a system in a process is equal to the amount of heat transferred to it in a reversible manner divided by the temperature at which the transfer takes place. $\Delta S=\frac{q_{rev}}{T}$. The unit of entropy is J/K.
