The three European scientists Karl Von Frisch, Konrad Lorenz and Nicolas Tinbergen collectively proposed the theory of ethology. They won the novel prize in 1973 for this contribution.
The word ethology arises from the Greek word “ethos” which means character and “logos” which means thestudy of and from the Latin word “aetiology” meaning mimicry or the ability to depict characters by compacting behaviors.
It involves observing, describing, and evaluating animal behavior in a natural seat setting.
