Solution

Answer :

Modern probability : Probability of occurrence of an event is given by the ratio of the cardinality of the set of all the elementary events favourable to the occurrence of the event and the set of all possible elementary events in relation to the experiment i.e. the sample space.

In other words , The modern definition starts with a finite or countable set called the sample space, which relates to the set of all possible outcomes in classical sense, denoted by Ω . It is then assumed that for each element x Ω
