Filtration is a process of separating suspended particles from a liquid. It is carried out with the help of a filter paper.
Filtration process is very useful to us in the following ways:

• It is used in making cottage cheese. Here, solid paneer is separated from its liquid by filtering it through muslin cloth.
• Water that we receive is also filtered by passing through gravel, sand and charcoal.
