It is a type of connective tissue in which the matrix is in the liquid form. It is known as plasma. The plasma encloses different types of cells. Fibres are absent.Blood and Lymph are the fluid connective tissue of human body.

Fluid connective tissue is distinguished into the following two types:

1. Blood:-Embryologically ,the blood has the same origin as the other connective tissue types have and blood connects the body systems together bringing the needed oxygen, nutrients, hormones and removing the wastes.

2. Lymph:-Lymph is more of a protective fluid as it consists of a lot of leucocytes and it kills all the foreign body.
