Open in App
Solution

Freezing point of a substance may be defined as the temperature at which the vapour pressure of a substance in its liquid phase is equal to its vapour pressure in the solid phase”. When we talk about the vapour presssure of solid phase we basically talk about vapours formed by sublimation. So according to this defination at freezing point all three pases i.e. solid liq and gas of the substance are present. (more sure about water)
