Solution

Fund based accounting is used in Non-Profit concerns to record transactions related to certain items. In such cases a fund is created in the books of accounts & all the revenues related to that item, for which we have created a fund, are added to the fund and all the related expenses are subtracted from the fund. e.g. Building Fund, Tournament Fund etc.
