Rusting of Iron: The corrosion/rusting of iron means the formation of rust i.e. red brown flaky layer which forms due to reaction of oxygen in the air and presence of water and forms iron(III) oxide. The reaction is given as:

Fe(s)+O2(g)+x.H2OFe2O3.xH2O(rust)

Galvanization:

1.It is process by which we can prevent rusting of Iron.

2.The process of applying a protective zinc metal coating to iron.
