Gene therapy involves the replacement of corrective genes in place of defective genes in human. There are two types of gene therapy:
(1) Somatic cell gene therapy is a cell therapy in which genes are modified in the somatic cell.
(2) Germ line cell is a gene therapy in which the gene modification takes place mostly in the germ cells.
