Golgi apparatus also called Golgi complex or golgi body is a membranes second organelle of eukaryotic cells that is made up of a series of flattered, stacked pouches called cisternae.
It is located in the cytoplasm next to the ER and near the cell nucleus.
The golgi apparatus is responsible for transporting modifying, and packaging proteins and lipids into esicles for delivery to targeted destination. The apparatus generally three primary compartments known as cis, medial and trans.
