Greatest common factor:

A greatest common factor is an integer factor by which the given set of numbers is divisible. Hence, there is no remainder left after division. The greatest common factor is also called HCF(HighestCommonFactor) or GCDGreatestCommonFactor

The HCF numbers can be found using the steps given below

  • Determine the prime factors of the given number using factorization and write in their respective product form of prime factors.
  • Now, find the common prime factors among the following numbers.
  • The HCF given numbers will be the product of common prime factors.

Thus, the greatest common factor is an integer factor by which the given set of numbers is divisible.
