what is hypoxia and how is it caused?

Low oxygen levels in blood (Hypoxia) can be caused by anaemia i.e. RBC or Hb deficiency, cyanide poisoning or CO poisoning, going to high altitudes e.g. mountains where partial pressure of oxygen is low or in case of heart failure where tissues get less oxygen.
