1. Hypoxia : It is the body condition in which the tissues are starved of oxygen. In its extreme form, where oxygen is entirely absent, the condition is called anoxia.
2. Anaemic hypoxia : This refers to when the capacity of the blood to carry oxygen is reduced and inadequate levels of oxygen are therefore circulated around the body. Examples of causes include anemia and a decreased amount of oxygenated haemoglobin.
3. Artificial hypoxia : It is artificially induced hypoxic condition used in medical practice like depriving cancerous cells of oxygen leading to their lethality.
