Solution

Dear Student,

Free element- A free element is a chemical element that is not combined or chemically bonded with other elements. Eg. O2, N2, H2, etc.
Monoatomic ion - Monoatomic ion are the ions composed of a single atom. Eg. F-, Br-, Na+, Mg2+ etc.
Peroxides- Peroxides are the compounds containing the peroxide anion i.e. O22- or oxygen-oxygen single bond (O-O). eg. hydrogen peroxide i.e. H2O2 (H-O-O-H)
Superoxides - Superoxides are the compounds containing the superoxide anion i.e. O2-. Eg. Potassium superoxide i.e. KO2
Neutral Compounds- Neutral compounds are the compounds having no net electrical charge on them. Eg, O2, H2O, etc
Polyatomic ions- These are the ions composed or more than one atom. Eg. CO32-, SO42-, etc.
