Solution

Imitation is the performance of an act that is stimulated by the perception of a similar act by another animal.
It helps animals to learn new skills. Some animals use it as a form of protection.

Following are the examples of imitation behaviour in animals:
  • Chimpanzees can use sticks to spear juicy grubs to eat. Other chimpanzees copy this behaviour.
  • Claves eat grass by seeing its mother.
  • Sheep in the herd follow the the one that is leading.
