Question

What is incomplete dominance? Write its example.

Open in App
Solution

Incomplete dominance is a form of intermediate inheritance in which one allele for a specific trait is not completely expressed over its paired allele, example, a snapdragon. Pink roses are often the result of incomplete dominance. When red roses, which contain the dominant red allele, are mated with white roses, which is recessive, the offspring will be heterozygotes and will express a pink phenotype.
