Sources of irrigation:

1. Canal Irrigation:
   It is the most important source of irrigation. It accounts for about 24% of the total irrigation in the nation. It is a very effective irrigation technique.
2. Well Irrigation: This type of irrigation is widespread in areas where tanks and canal irrigation are not available.
3. Tank Irrigation:
   This type of Irrigation is an old system of irrigation in India. Tanks are used for the collection of water during the rainy season and stored for irrigation and other purposes.
