What is karyokinesis? Explain.

'Karyon' means nucleus. So karyokinesis is the division of nucleus. It starts with the condensation of chromatin in the nucleus into chromosomes. The homologous chromosomes are separated with help of centrioles and spindle fibers. Cytoplasm divides by cytokinesis.
