Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Lactic acid is an organic acid.It is formed when anaerobic respiration occurs in muscles due to insufficient supply of oxygen. It occurs in muscles during vigorous physical exercise resulting build up of lactic acid in muscle and causing cramps. After exercise you breathe quickly supplying extra oxygen to body which reacts with the lactic acid in your muscles and convert it to carbon dioxide and water.
