what is lc oscillations write the theory of lc oscillation

Solution

When an inductor and a capacitor is connected in an A. C. circuit in series and LC circuit is anresonant circuit. In that case the inductive reactance of inductor is equal to capacitive reactance of capacitor. i. e. XL = XCOR ωL = 1ωCOR ω2 = 1LCOR ω = 1LCOR F = 12ωLC.Which is the frequency of A. C. circuit containg resonant LC circuit. When A. C. current flow through the LC circuit, charging of capacitor takes place and when capacitor is fully charged, this eleclric energy is stored in the capacitor in the form of electric field. When negative cycle of A. C. current begins, the discharging of capacitor takes place through inductor and electric field deposited in the capacitor decreases. But in the meantime, when magnetic field keeps building across the inductor due to change in magnetic flux taking place through the indutor. This process is continued repeatedly till the time A. C. current is flowing through LC circuit and electric field changes into magnetic and magnetic into electric field..
