Solution
Linkage:
Linkage is a physical association of two genes.
It can also be defined as the process of association of genes close together on the same chromosome
Example of linkage is as follows:
The genes for eye color and hair color are related in humans, some hair and eye color combinations are inherited jointly.
Genes that are linked are found on the same chromosome.
X-linked genes are on the X chromosome, while sex-linked genes are on the sex chromosome.
The frequency of gene crossing over is used to create linkage maps that indicate where genes are on chromosomes.
