Magnetic induction:

  1. The property of an ordinary piece of iron temporarily becoming magnetic due to the presence of another magnet placing near to it is called magnetic induction.
  2. It must be noted that the end of the iron piece near one of the poles of the magnet always acquires a polarity opposite to that pole of the magnet.
